I'm fine with not having it pinned down. <br /><br />I generally cut my fabric with a #6 cutter head, which makes a 6/32––3/16––inch wide strip of fabric. The linen backing doesn't come in mesh sizes, but linen is used for #6 and larger; for thinner strips, people use monk's cloth, I think. Also, even though the green is smooth, I can see a small repeated pattern in each place where one strand of fabric ends and another is begun. What is the number of your mesh?
