I am excited to see the doc you mentioned (I loved Woman in the Dunes!). I had the chance to visit Barcelona in November, 2012, and was finally able to see the interiors of several of his buildings. The Sagrada Familia is simply spectacular on the inside. The Parc Guell steals my heart for the absolute whimsy of the place. It is also a popular spot for various musicians to gather--a marvelous steel guitar player for one whom I was told practices there frequently. Thanks for the tip on the film!sarajo friedenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15349680699742894532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658518583188826551.post-68927702272771762932012-04-13T19:21:04.033-04:002012-04-13T19:21:04.033-04:00"Wright's work now seems almost staid and..."Wright's work now seems almost staid and conventional to me next to the extravagant and powerful inventions of Antonio Gaudí." He had a great patron, Eusebi Güell, who commissioned many of his works.Altoon Sultanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16743040814034732581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658518583188826551.post-53023461304384596002011-03-28T14:14:11.918-04:002011-03-28T14:14:11.918-04:00I have been there. And as incredible as the work, is that this architecture actually exists in a real city and didn't remain in the realm of fantasy ... and not just one or two sites ... but kaleidoscopically around Barcelona. I'd like to know the back-story of how Gaudi achieved this.Emily Johansenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04718935525219272830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658518583188826551.post-42053522244381864472011-03-28T13:33:31.308-04:002011-03-28T13:33:31.308-04:00Thanks for an interesting posts on one of my favor...Thanks for an interesting posts on one of my favorite architects.
