Festive Agriculture

Here are some holiday greetings from my models out in the fields: agricultural machinery; from buckets looking like baubles to red tape, the color and light are full of cheer (when looked at with an abstract eye).

  1. Altoon, one day you need to come here (to Arkansas) for a visit. My husband is a museum director, and a good majority of his collection concerns antique and modern agricultural equipment. Personally, I would love to see what your artist eye could pick up from all of it!

  2. I'm glad you readers appreciate the colors and shapes of ag machinery; it sure is fun, isn't it, and continues to be my inspiration for painting.
And, J.R., thanks for the invite to what sounds like a great collection; if I ever feel like traveling to search out images, I'll certainly keep it in mind.

  3. Lovely holiday collection, as only you could do it, Altoon. Was tempted to come to Barre to have coffee with you today....just to glean some of your energy and magic in person. maybe some other time....Happy New Year!

  4. As magical as Christmas Lights. I wonder how the custom of electric holiday lights came about? I'll have to "google" that.
