
Here is the completed diptych Roundabout, which began with sketches inspired by vases and pots I had seen at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and seems to have ended with amusing, organic forms bulging with––I hope––life.

ha! something really humorous about this - and I like the way you split it. is the one on the left actually darker than the one on the right?
ReplyDeleteyes, the left is darker; I wanted them to be different, in shape as well as value, and since our eye tends to give the right more weight (reading from left to right), I made it lighter.
