For me, there's nothing that sings
Spring! as the call of the
spring peepers, a tiny frog with an outsized voice. I recorded a very short video, which you can see, and listen to,
here, to get a sense of the drama of the sound, a lively paean to the season.
Altoon, both the still photo and the video are so beautiful! Thanks!
ReplyDelete(So glad too that your weather has picked up - I could hardly believe those snow scenes of a few days ago!!)
Great to see we're back to spring in Vermont, again, Altoon! I have no idea if the peas and lettuce we planted before leaving for a month will be frozen, thriving, or devoured by weeds, but I'm glad that the seasons are back on track.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great relief that the weather is back to a more normal path. I think your plantings will be fine, Susan, though maybe a little weedy. And thanks for the kind words on the photo and video, Mona.
ReplyDeletevery surreal little video with fish floating through the trees and the whirrrrr - Vermont is a magical kingdom.
ReplyDeleteOn it's good days, Vermont is certainly magical, rappel. I'm glad you think the video is surreal; of course I realized afterward that I should have used a tripod, should have held the image for at least five seconds after the fish left the scene, but oh well....Then I thought of Abbas Kiorostami's "Five" and how compelling it is to just train a camera on a scene and leave it there, to just see what happens.
