After the cool simplicity of my last painting––Bar and Shadow, which you can see here––Points is quite boisterous with its multiple shapes of intense color and its layering of space. It almost has an air of a cubist composition. I like trying this and that, finding different kinds of compositional structures. I don't like to repeat myself, though I sometimes think (rarely, actually) that my work might be better if I focused like a laser.....but it's just not in my artistic character at this point in my life.
