Tilt, 12 x 10 inches, hand-dyed wool on linen backing
The small graysquare tilting
dancing
on a green field
while balanced
on a lilac curve.Straight lines above
or perhaps behind
the crazy quilt below.
The colors of spring?
about the poem: I began writing a description for the image, and found that I was not inclined to write about process, but just visual description. Still reading Samuel Beckett, I find myself influenced by his style, with lots of line breaks, using commas. Another influence is a friend who writes all his emails in poem format, and I sometimes follow his lead. So this "poem" came about in a odd sort of way.
A beautiful ruglet, with lovely variations in tone and direction, and a lovely poem too Altoon.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Mona.
